영국 대학교 입시에서 클리어링(Clearing)은 기존 지원 결과에 만족하지 못했거나 새로운 지원 기회를 찾고자 하는 학생들을 위한 추가 지원 제도입니다. UCAS를 통해 최대 5개의 대학에 지원했지만 입학 허가를 받지 못했거나, 받은 오퍼에 만족하지 않는 경우, 혹은 뒤늦게 영국 유학을 결정한 학생들도 클리어링을 통해 추가로 입학 기회를 얻을 수 있습니다.
클리어링을 진행하기 위해서는 UCAS 상에서 모든 지원 대학으로부터 거절을 받았거나 본인이 기존 오퍼를 모두 거절한 상태여야 합니다. 이후 UCAS 시스템 내 클리어링 섹션에서 지원 가능한 대학 및 전공을 확인하고, 관심 있는 과정에 지원할 수 있습니다.
